December - Child Focus Angel Tree

This holiday season, LSR and its employees continue to be a proud supporter of Child Focus by sponsoring children through our annual Child Focus Angel Tree. Child Focus provides families with a wide range of services around the community, and LSR employees were able to provide for these families by purchasing toys, clothing and household items. November - Maintain Don't Gain Challenge

During the upcoming holiday months, LSR Health and Wellness committee extended a holiday challenge to fellow employees! The Maintain Don't Gain Challenge is to promote healthy eating habits and staying physically active during the holiday season.

November - Casual Days for a Cause at Freestore Foodbank

During Thanksgiving week, LSR hosted our annual Casual Days for a Cause to support the Freestore Foodbank. The Freestore Foodbank is a local organization that annually distributes over 20 million meals to more than 260 non-profit agencies, including community centers, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and various non-profit outreach centers in the 20 counties that they serve. October - Making a Difference Together Community Fair

On October 13th, LSR's Community Service Committee held our second Making a Difference Together Community Fair. We hosted several local organizations and had great participation from LSR employees! LSR employees were also able to successfully make numerous cards to support our troops this holiday season!

October - Pink Thursdays

During the month of October, LSR hosted "Pink Thursdays" in support of the Chris Collinsworth ProScan Fund. These casual days for a cause went to support Pink Ribbon Programs that provide easy access to early detection and hope and comfort to breast cancer patients. October - Health Works Flu Shots

On October 7th, LSR Health and Wellness Committee partnered with HealthWorks to provide flu shots for interested employees.

September - Ronald McDonald House Charities

During the month of September, LSR sold raffle tickets that went toward a casual week. All sales from the raffle tickets went towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati. We were able to successfully raise $700.00 for the charities. The Ronald McDonald House here in Cincinnati cares for 78 guest families every night, providing them with a "home away from home" while their children receive medical treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. August - ProKids/Crayons to Computers and Superhero 5K Run

This August, LSR hosted Casual Days for a Cause benefitting Pro Kids and Crayons to Computers. We were able to successfully raise $1381.00! June - Runs Walked in Challenge Winners

This past spring, LSR's Health and Wellness Committee partnered with other downtown companies to participate in a "Runs Walked In" Challenge. Participating companies tracked their exercise for 9 weeks. Our LSR teams compiled over 31,000 miles of walking during this time, and one of our teams claimed the first place position!

May - Hoxworth Blood Drive

On May 5th, LSR partnered with the Hoxworth Blood Center by holding a donor drive with the firm's employees. In coordinating this drive, participating employees were able to successfully donate 11 units of blood for patients in our community! April - Runs Walked in Challenge

With the start of baseball season, LSR's Health and Wellness Committee joined forces with other downtown businesses to participate in the Runs Walked in Challenge that takes place from April 3rd to June 4th. Teams compete against one another by tracking their running, walking, biking etc. via fitness trackers. Curveballs and extra challenges are thrown in during these 9 weeks and the winning team with the most "Runs" at the end wins a prize!

April - Casual Day for a Cause

During the week of April 21st, LSR's Community Service Committee hosted a casual day to benefit Kenzie's Closet; a boutique which provides prom dresses, shoes, and accessories to low income high school juniors and seniors. Through our casual day we were able to successfully raise funds that went to creating 32 care baskets for young girl's this prom season. In addition to the baskets, LSR employees were also able to provide donations of dresses and accessories from their own closets. April - Opening Day Celebration

On April 4th, LSR employees celebrated the Cincinnati Red's Opening Day with a ballpark themed lunch. It was a great day for employees to support America's favorite pastime and support our city! Go Reds!

February - Casual Days for a Cause

During the month of February, LSR's Community Service Committee hosted casual days for a cause to benefit the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative. Proceeds from the causal days went to assist in sponsoring LSR teams in the CYC Annual Trivia Night, which was held February 25th at Rhinegeist Brewery. Employees were able to successfully raise $1,307.00 to benefit the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative and we had 8 teams participate in the Trivia Night, one of whom were the First Place Winners and were mentioned in the April edition of Movers & Shakers - Cincinnati.
